Have you felt stagnant during the COVID crisis? Join this writing workshop. Your writing will progress from ideas, to a first draft, and finally to an edited piece ready for publication.
REMEMBER WHEN is a FREE memoir writing workshop for senior citizens in Manhattan, NYC. The workshop is focused on every participant finishing a publishable memoir piece in just four sessions. We will read and discuss your work as well as that of published authors.
This dynamic workshop provides a safe space for sharing stories and a supportive atmosphere for building writing skills and confidence. Each two-hour session will take place online via Zoom. A computer with internet access or a telephone is needed to participate.
You will get positive feedback and support from workshop leader Marty Correia and your fellow writers. Everyone in this workshop will be published in the printed volume, REMEMBER WHEN: A SU-CASA Anthology. Three copies of the book will be mailed to you after participants submit their final drafts and the book is printed.
Now is the time to write that story you’ve always wanted to put out into the world. And if you’re not sure which story to tell, Marty’s writing prompts will get you there.
Marty is a kind, fun, and skilled instructor who will get you to a final draft you’ll proudly show off to your friends and family.
Marty Correia is a participant in SU-CASA. This program is administered by Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and supported by public funds from the New York City Council in partnership with the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Department for the Aging. LMCC.net
